1. Electric thermal fluid radiator
Does this radiator have any fluid inside?
No. This new radiator is the upgrade version of the oldest oil filled radiators, which makes it still use the old name. Actually, it is warming the air by convection & delivery heat by radiation, no fluid inside. So it use a complete clean heating way.
How does the Thermal Fluid Radiator work? Why does it have much better heat efficiency?
Radiator has 2 different ways to warm the room.
1. Convection: The cold air goes in from bottom hatch, through the unit & warmed, comes out of the top hatch. The convection will keep on and on, and the air turns warmer.
2. Radiation: There is a radiant conductive film inside unit, which heats the room by delivering radiant heat into air.
2. Electric storage heater
How does this storage heater work?
Storing heat: At night or other period of off peak electricity, the heat storage will store heat when using.
Releasing heat: At daytime the radiator works by sensing the room air temperature, automatically opens and closes dampler to release heat, so as to maintain a preset temperature.
3. Electric radiant panel radiator
What is infrared radiation?
Infrared radiation, also known as thermal radiation, is the movement of energy through electromagnetic waves. Infrared radiation heats objects independently of the ambient air. The best example of this principle is radiation from the sun. Infrared radiation from the sun, similar to the glass radiator, is absorbed by all objects, causing these objects to heat up.
Where Radiant Panels are Located?
A radiant panel can be effectively mounted on any flat surface. The only requirement is the surface be sufficiently large enough. The larger the surface, the lower the actual surface temperature required. A wall radiator may have a surface temperature of 180F while an 81F floor will do the same job.
Radiant energy will heat the surfaces of all objects which are in direct line of sight from the panel; that means all walls, floors, ceilings, chairs, tables, or people which can be "seen" by the radiant panel. Therefore, a heated ceiling will raise the surface temperature of floors and walls, while heated floors will raise the temperature of ceilings and walls. Air coming in contact with these surfaces is also gently heated.
Is the radiator compatible with my system?
The radiator is compatible with normal central heating systems and has French Standard(ITS) fittings.
On an existing system, you can replace all the radiators or just the ones you want.
4. Glass Heaters
How much living space (in m2 ) can one REDWOOD glass radiator heat?
The maximum area that can be heated depends on various factors, such as the location of the building or flat and the quality and type of insulation in the windows and walls. Based on a rough estimate of 50W/m2 each radiator can heat adequately the following area:
[60x40cm] 240W 5 - 6 m2
[100x50cm] 500W 9 - 10 m2
[120x60cm] 720W 15 - 16 m2
[150x70cm] 1050W 20 - 21 m2
Please note: These numbers are not precise values and are for guidance only.
What efficiency rating does the REDWOOD radiator have?
REDWOOD glass radiator is 100% energy-efficient. Any wasted electrical energy is automatically converted into heat; therefore 100% of input energy is used to heat up your room.
